TOM HOOPER
Tom took home his first ocar on sunday the 27th of february 2011 for directing "The King's Speech". The film was nominated for twelve academy awards and won three more oscars in the categories "best film", "best script" and "best actor" for Colin Firth. But did you know that - not even so long ago - Tom directed commercials for DENZZO for brands such as Sultana and Robeco? So if you have a real good script and a real good budget we might give it a try. Congratulations Tom!

Tom is known for his strong performances and his light comic touch. His skills are much in demand in the world of commercials and Drama. He has created a fine body of work which includes a BT spot that was the finalist for best performance at the British Television Awards.

His clients have included First Direct, Blockbuster, British Eggs, McDonalds, Muller, British Telecom and Robeco.

Thirty-three-year old director Tom Hooper directed 'Daniel Deronda' for BBC/WGBH. 'Deronda' won best drama at the Broadcasting Press Awards, best mini-series at Banff and two BAFTA's.

'Deronda' starred Romola Garai, Hugh Dancy, Edward Fox and Barbara Hershey and received critical acclaim in the US and the UK where it played to audiences of 6m on BBC1.

In 2000 Tom directed 'Love in a Cold Climate', launching the talents of new Bond girl Rosamund Pike and earning Alan Bates a best actor BAFTA nomination.

Tom came to 'Cold Climate' from directing the award-winning second series of comedy drama 'Cold Feet' for ITV.

In 2004 Tom finished his first feature film and was nominated for an Emmy Award for the TV series Prime Suspect which he directed, and featured Helen Mirren.

In 2006 he won an Emmy Award in the category 'Outstanding Directing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special' for Elizabeth I starring Helen Mirren and Jeremy Irons.

In 2007 this mini-series won an Golden Globe in the category "Best Mini-Series Or Motion Picture Made for Television". Helen Mirren and Jeremy Irons both won an Golden Globe in the categories "Best Performance by an Actor & Actress In A Mini-series or Motion Picture Made for Television".
